PM approves establishment of special courts in Islamabad

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has approved the establishment of the six special courts in the federal capital.
Moreover, the Law Ministry was issued formal notification regarding the establishment of special courts.
The special courts include anti-terrorism, drug, banking, accountability, consumer court and special judge central. These courts would work under the Islamabad High Court.
Special judge central court has already been operating in Rawalpindi which would be shifted to Islamabad. IHC is given the task of appointment of judges in these courts.
It should be mentioned here that cases of IHC related to special courts had been trialled in special courts in Rawalpindi subordinate to Lahore High Court.
