Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ibad has said that integrated system is being introduced across province and suggestion to give status of metropolitan corporation to big cities is under consideration.
Talking to media on Wednesday, Ishrat ul Ibad said that in accordance with the new local bodies system there would be 18 towns in Karachi city.
He said that there was wide difference between local bodies and commissioner system and a system by making elected members authority was being introduced to resolve the problems of people of rural and urban areas on equality basis.
Governor Sindh said that two major political parties of Sindh have shown consensus over the new system and it was hoped that situation would grow better in the days to come.
He said that legislators of both major political parties of Sindh would prepare a draft after which an ordinance in this regard would be issued.
