Three including ASI killed in violence, two arrested


At least three persons were killed and several others injured in fresh wave of target killing in different localities of the city on Tuesday. The police arrested two culprits after fire exchange and recovered arms from their possession. According to details, unidentified armed miscreants opened fire at ASI Mohsin Ali at Kashmir Road, killing him on the spot and fled the scene. Miscreants opened fire at five people in Pirabad locality of Frontier Colony, killing one person on the spot and injuring two others and fled the scene. The injured were rushed to hospital where one of the injured persons died. The deceased included Zamin Shah, 35, and Zakir Hussain, 30, while injured Gul Hayat was under treatment. Meanwhile, firing incidents were reported in different localities of Karachi during which seven persons were injured. The injured were shifted to different hospitals of concerned areas. The anti-violent crime cell of Karachi police arrested two criminals identified as Khurram Aftab and Doulat Khan during a raid at MA Jinnah Road and recovered two TT pistols from their possession. The deceased were wanted by various police stations in different cases of street crimes, pickets looting, robberies and drugs selling.
