PBC and Radio Pakistan will be airing special programmes to mark the Defence Day on Thursday with enthusiasm and fervor.
Summary of the messages of the President, the Prime Minister, Federal Minister for Defence and Services Chiefs will be aired.
Valor and bravery demonstrated by the armed forces of Pakistan to defend the country against enemy’s aggression and sacrifices they rendered during the 1965 war will be highlighted in these programmes.
Special slogans, songs of the Defence Day, Army, Air Force and Navy will also be aired.
Impressions of soldiers and eyewitnesses’ accounts of the war will be the hallmark of special programmes. Special coverage will be given to ceremonies to be held at graves and monuments of martyrs of the War.
A special discussion programme “Sacrifices of Armed Forces of Pakistan for Country’s Defence and Security” will also be organized at 1:20 pm.
Radio reports will be aired with regard to different ceremonies to be held in various cities on the occasion of Defence Day.
