Pakistan impressed upon India for early settlement of Kashmir

Pakistan has reiterated that it is committed to just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Minister for Foreign Affairs told the National Assembly in a written reply during question hour on Wednesday that Pakistan will continue to extend political‚ diplomatic and moral support to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for the right to self-determination.
The Minister said Pakistan has entered dialogue process with India and impressed upon New Delhi for an early settlement of the dispute. Pakistan has also underscored the importance of associating the true representatives of the Kashmiri people i.e. APHC with dialogue on Jammu and Kashmir.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan has emphasized that the indigenous movement in Occupied Kashmir has made it clear that the problem in Kashmir cannot be ignored.
To a question‚ the Minister informed the House that Pakistan has been telling its interlocutors that the Afghan issue cannot be resolved through force and a political settlement needs to be worked out.
The Minister said peace in Afghanistan requires an understanding among all Afghan groups and once they agree to a solution‚ Pakistan and all other neighbors‚ regional countries and international community should support it.
Minister of State for Commerce Abbas Khan Afridi told the House that under Preferential Trade Agreement‚ Indonesia has provided market access on export of Kinno from Pakistan at zero percent duty. Indonesia has also offered preferential market access on cotton yarn‚ cotton fabrics‚ readymade garments‚ fans‚ sports goods‚ leather and other industrial products.
He said under FTA Sri Lanka has also provided free market access to Pakistan Kinno.
Replying to another question‚ Abbas Khan Afridi said Ministries of Commerce and Foreign Affairs are making diplomatic efforts for earliest implementation of the package of concession offered by European Unions on seventy-five Pakistani products.
He said Pakistan also qualifies for duty free access under GSP plus scheme of the European Union from 1st of January‚ 2014.
The Minister of State told the House that the negative list of 1209 items notified by the Ministry in March this year regarding trade with India would be phased out by the end of the year after approval by the Cabinet.
