Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Wednesday granted bail to the arrested accused Ehsanur Rehman and Hashim Khan in the Ephedrine quota case.
The special court for Control of Narcotics Substance (CNS) granted bail to the arrested accused Mohammad Hashim Khan Tareen and Ehsanur Rehman of Cane pharmaceutical against a surety amount of Rs 100,000 each.
The court adjourned the hearing till September 6 over the bail pleas of the other accused persons, former director general health Asad Hafeez and Sheikh Ansar.
Earlier on Monday the court passed an order dismissing the bail applications of two high-profile accused in the Ephedrine quota scam case, MNA Musa Gilani and Federal Textile Minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin, authorising the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) to arrest them.
The court should odrer shoot on sight for Shahabudin and Ali Musa Gilani. No one will have any objection. They are DONs of Multan Drug Cartel.
