CJ PHC orders release of prisoners involved in minor cases

Chief justice Peshawar High Court Justice Dost Muhammad Khan visited district Prison Chitral and discussed different issues regarding facilities for the inmates.
The chief Justice visited all Barks of Chitral jail and met the prisoners. He listened grievances of prisoners and directed District and Session Judge Syed Zamarrud Shah and other Judicial staff including Magistrates to thoroughly check their cases and release prisoners who are involved in minor cases.
He also met woman prisoner and visited mental section of abnormal prisoners. He also checked dispensary inside the Jail and directed jail superintendent to submit case about required medicines and other things for their provision immediately.
The chief justice announced dinner for prisoners who were very pleased on the offer.
District Coordination Officer Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir, District Police Officer Abdul Rasheed, Senior Civil Judge Qaisar Alam, Session judge Syed Zamarrud Shah and other judicial staff were also present on the occasion. He was briefed about the factual position of the jail by M. Riaz. He assured the prisoners that their cases will be decided on justice basis.
Later he visited Shahi Fort of Chitral where was received by Saif Ali Nasir son of then Mehtari Chitral. He went around different portions of the fort and termed it national asset and cultural heritage.
