Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Imran Khan on Tuesday announced that the PTI along with 100,000 people will march towards South Waziristan on October 6.
Addressing a press conference here Tuesday, he said that government should step down if it cannot protect the lives of common men. He said human rights activists from foreign countries will also accompany the march to South Waziristan.
He said 3 million people were displaced because of the war on terror, adding extremism was increasing due to the so-called war on terror.
“No one knows for how long this war will continue,” he said, adding the country was losing billions of rupees because of this war.
He said government had totally failed in restoring peace in Karachi and stopping killings in Balochistan.
Criticizing the incumbent rulers he said country was drifting towards disaster with every passing day under this government.He asked the rulers to resign if they had no control over anything in the country.
About situation in Gilgit-Baltastan, Imran said Shia-Sunni conflict was being sparked there under a conspiracy.
About the Local Bodies polls he said it was an attempt to distract people’s attention from general elections.
