Katie Holmes is reportedly anxious about going head-to-head with fellow designer Victoria Beckham in her debut season at New York Fashion Week. The 33-year-old actress will be showcasing the latest collection from her label Holmes and Yang at the prestigious fashion event for the first time in September. “It’s no secret that Victoria’s career has been more successful than Katie’s and there’s more than an air of rivalry between the two,” Stuff.co.nz quoted a source as telling UK magazine Heat. “There seems to be a lot of tension between the two labels right now. Katie is feeling insecure and doubts her efforts to do well,” the source said. Holmes and Beckham had become friends in 2006, attending Paris Fashion Week together. However, their relationship reportedly turned sour because of their fierce fashion rivalry. “They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne (her business partner) are very serious about their business,” the inside added.
