Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of the killings of Shias in Balochistan and Gilgit/Baltistan.
Addressing a press conference along with prominent local Shia leader Sheikh Jaffery and Sunni cleric Maulana Khalil in Skardu, Imran said that the government had completely failed to maintain law and order in the region.
He said the killing of 21 Shia passengers in a bus at Babusar pass was a terrible tragedy, and a visible manifestation of the government’s complete failure.
Imran said that the chief justice of Pakistan was taking suo motu notice of matters that were “relatively trivial” than the sectarian killings. He praised that the Supreme Court was taking notice of the government’s failures in other spheres, but added that the apex court must give special consideration to the matter of Shia killings.
During the visit, Khan made a special effort to promote sectarian harmony by contacting leaders of all sects and visiting them. He promised that the PTI would continue to raise its voice against terrorist organizations that were deliberately trying to create conflict in the country through sectarian murders.

  1. This was a routine statement on visit to the site of tragedy and no more. Either Imran is too naive or simply stupid to appeal to his highness the CJ.

  2. Imran is too naive, he should direct this statment to CJ boss (sharif) who is will decide what to do next. immunity is only avaialble to CJ, Arslan and their bosses in lhr.
