At least five persons of the same family including a couple and their children were killed when a roof collapsed here in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to rescue sources, roof of a dilapidated house located in Sethiyan area of Peshawar suddenly came down as the area received heavy rains.
As a result, all the eight family members sleeping in the house were buried under the rubble.
The rescue teams in assistance with local people recovered the bodies and injured from the debris and shifted them to hospital.
The deceased were laid to rest in Akhwan Baba Graveyard. Hundreds of people including relatives and locals attended the funeral prayers.
