The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Director General Sanaullah Aman said on Monday that their department in collaboration with USAID has repaired 30 more dysfunctional tube wells.
Aman said that CDA repaired 30 tube wells in the second phase of the project and the civic body had already repaired 20 tube wells in the first phase.
“We received Rs2 million less electricity bills as compared to the pervious month after installation of new water pumps in dysfunctional tube wells,” Aman added.
Moreover, the CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal had also directed CDA water management to ensure operation of tube wells on solar energy at the earliest.
CDA boosts of a fleet of 180 tube wells which provided water supply to the federal capital.
