Political Agency of North Waziristan Agency Siraj Ahmad Khan has assured the people that all resources are being used for development of the area and asked the tribes to help in immunization of children against polio disease.
He was addressing a grand Jirga of Garez tribes Ulema, elders and people in Tehsil Ghulam Khan near Pak-Afghan border on Monday.
The political agent said that without their cooperation one lakh sixty one thousand children would be deprived of vaccination against polio and they could suffer from different diseases. He announced a play ground for the area.
On complaints of the tribal elders that the staff in educational institutions and health centers remained absent, political agent took immediate notice and ordered disciplinary action against them.
Some other tribesmen complained that they were facing difficulties in obtaining national identity cards, domicile certificates and passports and sought his help. The political agent assured them every cooperation in this regard.
The tribal elders assured to cooperate with the government in the immunization against polio campaign.
