MAO College Principal Dr Farhan Ebadat Yar Khan on Saturday contradicted a news report appearing in Pakistan Today on August 31 titled ‘MAO staff host Eid party sans principal’. In a statement, Dr Farhan said that the news item was devoid of facts. “I was invited to the Eid Milan party hosted by the chairperson of the Physics Department but since I had to proceed for a meeting at the Higher Education Department, I was unable to attend the party. However, when I came back around 2.30pm, I personally went to the Physics Department and regretted for my absence to the host,” Dr Farhan said in his statement. Meanwhile, the MAO College principal on Saturday issued an order restraining all heads of departments of the college from organizing any party/get together of the staff members without his prior permission. When contacted, Dr Ebadat denied that he had banned any parties. He said the faculty members had been told to arrange parties through the staff secretary, Professor Agha Rehan Gul.
