Traders and business community of the port city has rejected the government decision of increase in petroleum prices and gave a two-day deadline to take the decision back.

He warned the government to take back decision in 48 hours otherwise traders of Karachi would observer a shutter down strike on September 04. Meanwhile, citizens have also expressed grave concerns over increase in prices of petroleum and said that it would intensify their sufferings and result in price hike of all edible and non edible products.
MQM demands reduction in POL price: The parliamentarians hailing from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Saturday demanded the government to immediately withdraw recent unwarranted hike in petroleum products.
In a statement issued here, Muttahida’s leaders termed the recent hike in the petroleum products as gross injustice to the masses and demanded the government to retract the raise.
The MQM’s lawmakers said the government should have provided relief to the public with subsidy on the POL products, instead of burdening them with price-hike.
