The inaugural T-20 Blind Cricket World Cup which was scheduled to be held in December 2012 in India has been postponed for the next couple of months. The Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) has informed World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) that due to Pakistan’s main stream cricket team’s tour to India in December 2012, the BCCI has blocked the use of all major grounds for at least one month before the start of that series.
Therefore, the World Cup could not be conducted on the original planned schedule. Now the T-20 Blind Cricket World Cup will commence likely in the mid of January 2013, said an official of the PBCC.
