Finance Minister Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh called on Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday and briefed him about the overall economic situation of the country.
The PM appreciated the efforts of the finance minister for releasing requisite funds for the Kaachi Canal Project and expressed confidence that the project would be completed by the end of this year.
The PM directed the finance minister to ensure that no cuts were made on the funds intended for the development projects in Balochistan and directed the minister to release the funds on time to keep the pace of development in the province steady.
