Delay in elections will be disastrous for country: Nawaz

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said the arbitrary delays in election would prove disastrous for the country. In separate meeting’s with Mumtaz Bhutto’s son Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto and eminent businessman Anwar Pervaiz at Raiwind, Nawaz said the rulers were pushing the country to the verge of destruction through their flawed policies. He said the country could get rid of corrupt rulers only through elections. Nawaz said it was not the time to stage the drama of new provinces, rather it was time to end corruption.
He said the common man’s life had been paralyzed by the unprecedented load shedding, inflation and joblessness, but the rulers seemed least interested in resolving these problems. He said the PML-N would sweep the next election in the country, including in Sindh. He said Karachi was the backbone of the country’s economy, but law and order had been worsened in the city to destroy its peace. Nawaz said the situation in Karachi would have been much better if the orders of the Supreme Court regarding the city were implemented in letter and spirit.
