Delegation of female entrepreneurs leaves for India

A 17-member delegation of Pakistani women entrepreneurs under the leadership of founder President Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) Samina Fazil left for India through the Wagah border here on Friday on a seven-day visit to participate in the 12th Global Conference on Trade Liberalization and its Global Impact on Women Entrepreneurs. The conference scheduled in New Delhi on September 3,4 and 5in which the Pakistani delegation would conduct a dialogue with their counterparts on issues including bilateral trade, non-tariff barriers and visa policy.
Talking to reporters before leaving, Samina , said that efforts were being made for the growth and promotion of trade and economic ties and peace between the two countries. She expressed hope that the visit would be a success. The delegation would be holding meetings with the officials of the International Federation of Women Entrepreneurs, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The delegation is also set to apprise women about sentiments of Pakistani business community regarding the granting of MFN status to India. “We would be representing a good image of Pakistan,” Samina said.
