  1. Pictures like these should not be posted on the media without a filter. My father is in the army and is fighting the war, and I dont want to be reminded continuously of this. I know a lot of soldiers who have have been martyred and they deserve respect.

    • I fully agree there should be code of conduct for media in such matters. and yes great respects for these martyrs and those who are fighting for our beloved homeland.

      • Code of conduct for media? Are you kidding? Media is there to project them and it serves their interest; commercial certainly. The increase in privately owned media has increased evil in society and this is one part of it.

No code of conduct please, just ban them entirely; put them off!

  2. I agree with @Eusha Pakistan Today should restrain itself from posting photos of such a sensitive nature.

  3. Violent imagery like the one featured above should never be published! Doesnt PT has a code of ethics?

  4. It serves no purpose showing such graphic pictures. Better use some sense and do not hurt feelings of others.

  5. it a bad thing to show such images so openly .because it harms for other who see them. may allah bless these 15 martyred.

  6. I am amazed that a picture like this barberic nature is published in the name of "freedom of press". Did the editorial staff even thing for a minute the impact of this stupid action. These soldiers gave their lives for this country, may allah grant them eternal peace, and this is what we do. Imagine the trauma that the families will go through when they see these picture. Even more than that children in every home where this paper goes will see this gruesome picture. WHAT HAS BEEN ACHIEVE BY THIS ACTION????

The editorial board board should apologize to the nation and it readers for this utter disgusting publication. I wonder what was the price for publishing this picture????

  7. I would like to see SHAMIM SHAHID treated like this. This man should be kicked out and stripped of his journalistic assignments and the Editor needs to apologise to the readers.

  8. The enemies of Pakistan are beheading our soldiers by dozens, day in and day out. Why can't we use our tactical nuclear weapons against enemy? How come a non-nuclear power has got the courage to behead our soldiers? We didn't gave sacrifices for becoming a nuclear power, for tolerating such humiliating treatment by a third class country. What is our threshold level for using nuclear weapons? at least as a first step stop goods transit for Afghanistan and send ALL their nationals back there immediately. Please do something, we can't see these gruesome pictures of our sons being beheaded in an undeclared war. It's also a case of war crime against commander of Afghan forces.

  9. Maybe we will formally OWN this war once we see such scenes in the streets of Islamabad & Lahore. Is Imran Khan listening? What brand of Islam is this?

  10. this is the limit for any kind of war in this world.this is the action if done by some other country to our soldiers like india or usa,we always showed severe reactions to them then y we r watching this action from these number of peoples which consists of villages or towns or even cities ,such whole cities should be treated like they r treating to our soldiers.

  11. very disturbing… but who cares as long the 'poor' sons of the soil get slaughtered… and who cares as long as the common man gets slaughtered… very sad indeed! (All Generals, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, Senior Bureaucrats, Governors, Ministers should be forced to send 1 son in the army and at frontlines in FATA, then hopefully someone will care and will do something, will take some desperate measures or steps to rectify this).
