Power outages hit Karachi

Power supply to several areas of Karachi remained suspended last night due to the fault in Karachi Electric Supply Company’s (KESC) extra high-tension line, media reports said on Friday.
The areas included Clifton, Defence, I.I. Chundrigar Road, PIDC, Sultanabad, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, Bolton Market, Lyari, Agra Taj, Baldia Town, Korangi, Malir, Airport, Shah Faisal Colony, Liaqatabad, Qayoomabad, Baloch Colony, Shara-e-Faisal, Drigh Road and others.
KESC Spokesman Osama Qureshi said that 15% of the city suffered as 18 grid stations tripped last night.
