We have learnt from sources that the real reason for Jacqueline Fernandez being replaced by Esha Gupta in Raaz 3 were cockroaches! Apparently, there’s a scene in the film in which the heroine is attacked by flying cockroaches, at which point she runs out in the nude right in front of the media. This scene got Jacqueline uncomfortable and in spite of signing the film, she backed out of it. When asked, Mahesh Bhatt did not deny this. “After doing a very successful Murder 2, in which she was very uninhibited in her intimate scenes with Emraan, Jacqueline was the right choice for Raaz 3. But as she inched towards shooting, Vikram found that there was a hesitation in her demeanour about the costumes she would wear. This, being a horror film, required her to be scantily dressed and wear clothes that would be visibly provocative,” he says. “When Vikram told her how he would create the illusion of nudity in this scene, it made her uncomfortable”.
