PM gives cheques to Mohsin and Maria; says their success should motivate youth

Mohsin Ali and Maria Anam, who secured first and third positions respectively in Bachelor of Arts Examination held under the Punjab University, met Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Prime Minister’s House on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister said that Mohsin Ali and Maria Anam are pride for the entire nation. He said that their success has set an example for the youth and students of the nation. This should motivate them to yearn for higher objectives even in trying circumstances. “No objective is impossible for the youth if you are determined and put in hard work,” said the Prime Minister.
In response to a question regarding their future plans, both Mohsin Ali and Maria Anam told the Prime Minister that they intended to go for Masters in English and appear in Civil Service Examinations.
The Prime Minister wished them success in their future endeavours and congratulated their parents and teachers for being lucky to have such bright pupils.
The Prime Minister who had announced an award of Rs 1 million for Mohsin and Rs 500,000/- for Maria Anam handed over the cheques to them today in the presence of their family members. The Prime Minister also promised both Mohsin and Maria that their educational expenses will be borne by the government.
Mohsin Ali, who hails from Hafizabad works in a tandoor to support his family, while Maria Anam belongs to Gujranwala.
Maria Anam, supports her two sisters and a brother who are deaf and dumb besides she also assists her father who works as a machinist.
