Sindh Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas has advised the administrative secretaries of auqaf, education, health, and home departments to expeditiously clear the dues of HESCO/SEPCO/KESC and get the billing accounts reconciled with the help of Sindh Power Department within two days.
A statement here on Monday said that he issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting here on Monday. It said that Raja Muhammad Abbas also asked the Secretary Power to submit the settlement report showing the dues paid to the concerned institutions by the Departments of Sindh Government. Meanwhile, the Chief Secretary called for progress regarding the Coal and Wind-based energy generation within three days. He advised the secretaries of Coal Energy and Power and DG of Public Private Partnership Project (PPPP) to sit together and prepare comprehensive reports to this effect. The meeting was attended by the secretaries Implementation Rizwan Ahmed, Coal Energy, Ejaz Ali Khan, Power Ms Rabia J Agha, DG PPPP, Suhail A Rajpoot, Special Secretary Finance, Shakeel Mangnijo, Special Secretary Home, Mudassir Iqbal, Additional Secretary Education, Dilawar Mangi, and other senior officers.
Secretary Health, Aftab Khatri, briefed the meeting about electricity consumptions in hospitals. Raja Muhammad Abbas also stressed the need to take appropriate action against the unauthorized connections.
