At least five suspected Taliban were killed in a clash with Pakistan Army in Kurram Agency, while two members of a peace lashkar lost their life in a militant attack in Khyber Agency.
According to government officials, several militants ambushed a security force checkpost in Torghar, a remote area of Kurram. The personnel retaliated with full force and killed five of the militants.
Military officials said two security personnel were injured in the hours-long clash.
Meanwhile in Khyber Agency, two local members of a peace lashkar were killed in a remote-controlled bomb blast.
Suspected Taliban militants had planted the bomb targeting local peace militia that is fighting the terrorists in the area.
Another two members of the militia were injured, who were later shifted to Peshawar Military hospital in a critical condition.
