Punjab Governor Latif Khosa has said that Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf should not appear before the Supreme Court on Monday. He said in case the PM was disqualified, the SC would not escape from the accountability of the people. He said the PPP was not protecting Asif Zardari but the head of state. Khosa said that the SC was dealing with cases against the PPP at 150kph while its speed was not as fast in cases related to the Sharif brothers. STAFF REPORT

He said he did not recognize Shahbaz Sharif as member of Punjab assembly and rejects the bills passed by the Assembly with majority.
The governor said it was his constitutional right to ask the PML-N to show its majority in Punjab Assembly but he did not do so. To another question, Khosa said the PPP and PML-Q would contest the next elections together.
