PPP tells Punjab govt to name members for new province commission

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab has warned the Punjab government of not allowing it to go for the provincial assembly meeting if did not provide two names for the commission formed for new provinces. Punjab Governor Latif Khosa has already summoned Punjab Assembly session today (Monday) at 3pm. The provincial government and opposition have called a meeting of parliamentary parties to finalize the agenda of the meeting. PPP’s Deputy Parliamentary leader Shaukat Basra said the PML-Q would also support the PPP in protest. Punjab Assembly has adopted a unanimous resolution for the creation of new province in South Punjab, but the PML-N is not forwarding members’ names for the 14-member commission on new provinces.
