Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Faheem Monday said that the prime minister would not be disqualified under the constitution as sentence awarded in a case cannot be given to the same office again.
Talking to media outside the Supreme Court shortly prior to the hearing of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case, Fahim said that under the Articles 12 and 13 of the constitution punishment could not be given twice.
He said we respect the judiciary because the respect of constitution is mandatory for every Pakistani.
