Gunmen kidnap 10 students, kill 4 in Afghanistan

Unidentified gunmen killed four of the 10 students they abducted in Afghanistan’s western Ghor province on Sunday, residents and officials said.
The schoolchildren were kidnapped on Sunday morning from the Khafak Band area of Charsadda district and taken to the Qalmin area on the outskirts of Chaghcharan, a resident of the area said on condition of anonymity.
The abductors later killed four of the students and kept the other six in captivity, he said.
Acting police chief Col Murtaza Muslih confirmed the incident, but had no details.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the kidnap and killing incident.
