The Capital police have arrested 20 outlaws, including two dacoits, from various areas of the city, and confiscated liquor, illegal weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
On a tip-off, a Margalla police station team rushed to Sector G-9/1 and arrested two dacoits red handed who were fleeing after looting the house of Mumtaz Ahmed. The dacoits were later identified as Pir Shah and Sajid Shah. The police also recovered a dagger, looted cash and other valuables from them. The dacoits had injured Mumtaz Ahmed during the dacoity attempt.
Meanwhile, the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad police arrested two thieves Imran and Wahid with stolen items worth thousands of rupees.
In other incidents, Kohsar police arrested a thief named Zameer while Tarnol police recovered four bottles of wine from a bootlegger named Safeer.
Moreover, Sabzi Mandi police arrested Ashraf and Abdul Ali for possessing 20 bottles of wine while the Industrial Area police nabbed Iqbal for carrying a 30-bore pistol.
Ramana police arrested Sajid Mehmud for illegally decanting gas in a cylinder.
An Aabpara police team arrested 10 persons including three women for their alleged involvement in immoral activities and recovered ten bottles of wine from their possession.
