Sustainable Tourism Foundation Pakistan (STFP) has published a new travel guide on Kaghan Valley on Saturday in collaboration with Tourism Promotion Association (T-PAK) of Kaghan Valley.
While talking to news agencies, STFP President and author of the travel guide, Aftab Rana said that the main focus of the publication was to promote eco-friendly recreational activities and adventure tourism in the beautiful valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
“The travel guide provides detailed and updated tourist information about Kaghan Valley with lots of breathtaking pictures and maps,” he said.
He acknowledged the service of Amir Rashid for brilliantly capturing the scenic beauty of Kaghan Valley for the travel guide, adding that the guide was available in Urdu and English languages.
The publication describes more than 40 places of tourist interest in Kaghan Valley including many new tourist spots that had been introduced for the first time.
“Our mission is to promote and facilitate the growth of sustainable and equitable tourism in Pakistan in close partnership with concerned stakeholders from the public, private and NGO sectors,” Aftab said.
A total of 120 colored photographs of tourist spots of the valley and a number of sketch maps for other areas of Balakot, Kewai, Shogran and Naran add additional value to the travel guide.
Information on more than 20 trekking routes had been added to the book for the promotion of trekking and hiking in the valley.
