Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of slain Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, has said that he is not excepting any justice from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government, which has given “red carpet treatment to a dictator”.
Talking to Online, he said: “I have no faith in the PPP government’s promises that they will bring my father’s killers to justice.”
“A government which came to power after a deal with a dictator, and then provided him a red carpet exit, nothing can be expected from it,” he said, adding, “The PPP has even failed to bring the killers of Benazir Bhutto to justice, then how can I expect them to provide me justice and relieve the grievances of the Baloch people.”
He further said that the representatives occupying the parliament were “corrupt and incompetent”. He demanded that his father’s dead body be handed over to him, so that they could bury him according to their customs. He also demanded an impartial inquiry under the United Nations and other international organizations to ascertain the real cause of Bugti’s death. He also called for a strike on Bugti’s death anniversary, which falls on August 26.
