The Capital police have arrested five outlaws on Saturday, including three woman swindlers involved in depriving female passengers from gold ornaments during travelling.
According to police spokesman, the Sabzi Mandi police received complaints regarding a gang active in looting female passengers.
The Station House Officer (SHO) assigned the task of tracing out the gang to Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Nawazish Ali. He succeeded in arresting three women namely Sanam, Sobia and Nagina who were involved in taking away gold ornaments of female passengers while travelling in public transport. The police recovered stolen jewellery from their possession.
Meanwhile, Bhara Kahu police arrested Zafar Iqbal for possessing a 30-bore pistol while ASI Akhtar Zaman from Loi Bher police nabbed Mubabar Ali for carrying a 12-bore gun.
