Residents of the federal capital have vehemently rejected the declared value of the assets declared by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders on the party website and termed them unrealistic and beyond truth. Property dealers in the federal capital have offered to purchase Khan’s sprawling farmhouse spreading over 300 kanals in Banigala for Rs 300 million. According to the dealers, the worth of the farmhouse declared on the website was not even 10 percent of its market value. They said instead of mentioning the current worth of the property, the PTI chairman declared the cost price, which was unfair. Residents of Islamabad appreciated the PTI step to declare their assets, but said undervaluing the worth of the assets was meant to hoodwink the people. They said they knew the actual worth of the farmhouse that was far more than the once declared. A number of people associated with the real estate business said the worth of one kanal of plot around Khan’s farmhouse was between Rs 2 to 2.5 million.
Tax returns are filed on the cost price of the asset!! PT, for god's sake, verify the laws before posting!!!
The law is to declare purchase price of assets, hw smbdy can put current value, which may b more or less in future, PT needs to verify b4 posting a news. A good step by PTI leaders, I appreciate them all.

If we take the example of IK property then what about other pople properties. If some one has purchased a house 15-20 years back ,and the prices has gone up ,then it is not th criteria of proving him wrong. The house which I purchased in 2001 in Karachi and if i look at the current price ,I can not affort to purchase that . What ever theprice is now ,I am not concern with that.This is my house an I am living in it.If the price goes down by half it will still be my house .As for I know thaere sre prices in the government record which are always different from the market price .
At least he has declared his property and even what ever is the pirce we should not blame IK because he has not sucked the publib mony like Zardari and NS

Imran Khan has declared his assets, although the value that he has declared is not just below, but ridiculously far less than what will cost. He maintains foreign currency account, which strangely have far more value than the money in Pak currency. It is time IK moves beyond this and starts addressing and discussing the real problems of the people. Yes there should be accountability across the board for everybody, including those who have lately joined PTI, and those who work in civil bureaucracy, the khaki top brass, the politicians of PPP, PML(N), MQM, PML(Q), JUI(F), ANP etc and those who have minted billions in making education a business and beyond reach of even lower middle class, which forms the backbone of a nation's human resources.
The list of assets declared by Khan Sahib has infringed his own credibility and caused the belief of youth, therefore, review it and declare the present market value of the farmhouse.

Typical dirty Pakistani Politics of putting baseless and ridiculus allegations on one party, hoping the people will buy the rant. PPP , PML should also declare their assests be it super under valued but declare it.
By creating doubts through such reporting, do we want to crush a good precedent that a party has the courage to set? Perhaps we do not deserve a leadership that leads by example or we are scared getting exposed. In stead of appreciating an act in right direction, such kind of reporting is intended to give a lame excuse for the corrupt people to hide behind. Then, a paper who gives hardly any prominence of PTI's economic program as compared to Khosa's meeting with Nawaz, such tactics are understandable. We only care about our money that we get from public advertisements, after all Imran is not in position to do so (and perhaps he may not like to do so even when he gets into power).

Asset Declaration is not for Tax purposes, so all here PT reporting are a bunch of fleabag trolls. Asset Declaration is purely a “Moral” thing and should be on the Current “VALUE” at the time of Declaration. PTI stop making fool of people by hiding behind the loopholes of some lousy Law. Why the whole world invest in America because you get better returns on your investment. All investments are for making a profit not just for keeping money in the bank and ROI (return on investment) is the main criteria for investment. The reason no one wants to invest in Pakistan because all investments in Pakistan lose money, what you gain in %age, you lose in exchange rate as the the rupee value has not been stable. In addition, businesses keep money in firiegn exchane to buy equipment, machinery, expertise etc as again keeping money in Pakistan you lose in conversion.
Before, 1998 a lot money was being kept in Pakistan in foreign exchange but the freeze on foreign currency accounts by Nawaz Sharif government, after transferring his own 650 million $, paid put to that because the governments here are corrupt, they use your money which is very hard earned and pay you back in Rupees , whose value is like Italian Lira now, soon we will alll be millionaires. Stop listening to PPP and PML (N) propaganda, use your head and if there is brain in it..
tax always calculated on current price not purchased price. like if i got a land in 1975 worth of Rs20,000/ i can not pay tax on 20,000. in 2012 i have to pay tax on its current price

Thats the main trouble with PTI, declaration of assets is main criterion for grabbing votes, what a foolish standardization. My dear friends, voters can be attracted only when you communicate loud and clear what you can do for them. Your pious status has nothing to do with people. Why not we give vote to Sattar Edhi. Declaration of assets is just a mandatory requirement for contesting the election and not a certificate for winning the election. When you submit your asset declaration to Election Commission it becomes legal tender. For verification of other political parties just verify their assets filed in the last election.
