Pakistan security forces on Sunday arrested nine foreigners while they were trying to sneak into the country from India illegally.
“The security forces have arrested nine foreigners from Zafarwal and Narowal Sectors near India border,” a private news television reported Sunday.
“Six of the foreigners were arrested from Narowal while three others arrested from Zafarwal sectors.”
Pakistani officials say that incidents of illegal border crossing from the Indian side had witnessed a “sharp increase” in the past few months.
Earlier on August 24, Pakistan Rangers, the border guards, had arrested 6 Bangladeshi nationals while they were trying to enter into the country from India.
The Rangers officials claimed that attempts to infiltrate the border usually made when the BSF, India border guards, fire at Rangers posts.
