Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Yaseen Farooq on Friday awarded 27 cops for their effective role during search operation and ensuring arrest of criminals and drug pushers during this crackdown.
According to details, SSP Islamabad had appreciated the performance of these police officials and hoped for similar role in ensuring effective policing in future too.
Following the directions from IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq, Islamabad Police launched search operation in the city during the month of Ramadan to ensure strict monitoring and vigilance of suspected elements. The purpose of this search operation was to ensure foolproof security in the Capital and the police accomplished this goal with effective coordination and effective policing.
A total of 700 wine bottles and weapons were seized during this crackdown and several criminal elements were also arrested.
Those awarded by the SSP include: Station House Officer of Nilore police station Inspector Asjad Altaf, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq, Constables Afzal Janan, Mir Muhammad, M. Shehzad, Raza Hussain, Amir Zaman, Muhammad Riaz, Mati ur Rehman, Ghulam Ali, Sajid Nazir, Nasr Ullah, Constables Munsab, Sajid, Yasir, Asif from Koral police station, Constables Baz Khan, Muhammad Riaz, Kamran from Bani Gala police station, Constables Ameer Muhammad, Arshad Mehmud, Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Arshad, Sohail Ahmed from Shehzad town police station and Lady Constables Shubana and Perveen from Women police station.
Farooq awarded cash to each cop and also commendation certificate (Class-111). He said that it was much necessary to encourage and boost the morale of those officials performing well in order to attain the desired results.
He said that basic objective of police is to protect the lives and property of citizen and maintain law and order. Those performing well against criminals or suspected elements would be also encouraged in future as it was imperative to ensure effective policing, the SSP maintained.
