Political, social, literary and other parties took out rally for supporting Comrade Ghulam Rasool Sehto’s struggle and hunger strike on Friday.
Comrade Sehto, popularly known as the Anna Hazare of Sindh, has been on a hunger strike with his friends for the last 90 days to bring attention towards the issue of water shortage that farmers of Sindh face. The rally included parties like Sindh Haari Committee, JSQM, JSMM, Sindhi Adabi Sangat (SAS) and others led by Gulab Pirzado, Comrade Hyder Joyo, Muhib Pirzado, Urs Seelro and others. The rally staged a sit-in at Mohenjo Daro and observed hunger strike at Dokri. It is to be mentioned here that water shortage has destroyed crops in lower Sindh and Comrade Sehto is in Islamabad to draw attention of the government and the Supreme Court to the problem.
