Locals living in North Waziristan have started migrating in fear of an impending operation in the area.
According to the media reports people including children women and elderly had left their homes for safer areas fearing an impending operation against Haqqani network.
Scores of people are seen migrating to safer areas from Waziristan, while political administration has denied any chances of operation. They maintained that forces were being deployed there for security of border areas and that people are migrating on their own instinct.
While drone attacks in the agency have picked up momentum. 17 people were reported dead in drone strikes on Friday as fear gripped the areas.
A few days ago media reports mentioned possibility of a joint operation by Pakistan and US in the Waziristan agency, which was denied by Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani.

Not knowing the details I am unable to comment with full force of conviction, nevertheless I shall reiterate that a cognisance of the hands and the minds that feed the situation need to be taken care of before an operation is launched.
Post operation strategies for rehabilitation and development work need to be discussed and the costs worked out before any such operation is given a go ahead.
The generals got their money so now its time to perform the duty for their master.
