Dr Arsalan Iftikhar is not going to get it any easier as he is not only on trial in the court, but also outside the court, with some asking him questions that perhaps should be the sole responsibility of the court. Bringing a twist to the whole episode, a private TV channel anchor Kamran Khan has listed 11 questions that he wants to be answered by Chief Justice’s son, Dr Asalan, to prove his innocence as well as to prove that judiciary is independent. Kamran Khan asked these questions in his program the other night. The questions are:-
1. How did you earn Rs 900 million in three to four years through your small business? How did you manage to employ 400 people and how did the business flourish?
2. Do you have any business links with any private companies whose cases are pending with the Supreme Court?
3. Are your business activities confined to Pakistan and all your foreign trips were of non business nature?
4. Do your companies have any direct or indirect link with Bahria Town as all Bahria Town cases are under trial in higher courts?
5. Did you take any help from ISI officer or officers to solve personal business problems?
6. Prove that while staying with your family in London Flat No 63 at Fits Harding House in 2010 all expenditures were paid from your own account?
7. Prove that expenditures for your trip to Monte Carlo in 2010, where you spent four days at the lavish Hotel De Paris, were paid from your own pocket? Also disclose the identity of the woman who accompanied you during the trip?
8. Did you pay the bill from your account during your 9-day stay in Hotel Hilton in London in 2011?
9. Prove that expenditures of your entire family’s stay for one month in London Marriott Hotel Park Lane’s Suite in 2011 were paid by you?
10. Is it true that there is no mention of your overseas trips in the Income Tax Return filed by you?
11. Is it true that despite not being a Civil Servant, you travel on blue official passport?
The anchorperson has requested the CJ’s son to give a written response to the 11 questions to satisfy the public.

Chief Justice is fan of Kamran Khan so he must have asked him to air these questions. Is it not strange that the questions which should have been asked by some investigating agency or the Judges themselves are being asked through an anchorperson?????? Why not put both father and son on trial?

kamran khan seems the real CJ, Who can interogate Kamran khan for his source of incomes and authority.
This seems to be an attempt by anti-PPP lobby to pressurize CJ so that he dismisses PM in order to save himslef from allegations of a 'deal with the govt' by anti-PPP lobby.
The questions are fair and should be answered.
The person who questions must have credibility of sorts.Kamran Khan does not have any.His rise is due to Geo TV,which is not to be very proud of but infact a minus.Prior to media freedom he was known as the advanceman of various Intelligence agencies.or agencies with similar interests.How does he survive?Because he keeps all informed and interested.A typical 'phaphe kutni'.

In these day, the judiciary is facing so many hardships while execution of its judgments and orders. On the other hand, the executive authority, the state is bent upon to violate the orders in a manner prejudicial to the interest of society and fatal to the smooth running of the institution. The constitution it self provided that any law which is against the principles of justice, equity or constitution and Apex Court is fully empowered and have a jurisdiction to declare the same against the constitution. So, when the Courts are performing their duties within the parameter of legal diagram and State is going to save the Corruption of the persons who are in power. This is a peak of unruly trend. Now, the statements on behalf of the Government is highly shameful. In this prospect the adherence of rule of law and performance of duties, the courage of the sitting judges in the Court is highly appreciated. In a general sense, the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, is champion and fighting against the wrong doers. The offensive act of the Govt is posing that they have no regard and rule of law. Rule of law is supreme and Now, they are going to show that we the parliament is soveriegn. At this they forget, that every body is bond by law and no one is above the law. Allah Almighty himself after setting the principles in motion, not to violate the same and stressed to observe the rule of law.
Very important a valuable questions have been raised. Any-how, the matter is pending subjudice before the Court and competent authority who has to put such questions, which is proper and appropriate forum to resolve the controversy. To my view, the media trial is being conducted just to menace the Hon'able Chief Justice of Pakistan, so as to refrain from taking the superb action against the corruption mafia. So, it is not fair to pre-empt the authority having the jurisdiction over the matter.
