Punjab to bear expenses of Sindh, AJK position holders

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and adviser to Punjab chief minister , Zaheem Qadri on Thursday announced that the provincial government would bear the academic expenses of the position holders from Sindh and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Talking to the media, Qadri said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has issued special directives to make all arrangements to bear the expenses of the talented students of Sindh and AJK who despite their poor financial situation and unfavorable conditions bagged top positions in their respective academic boards.
Amina Asif hailing from a poor family of Sindh acquired first position in BA annual exam while Qiyanoos Khan, who collected scrap paper after school to support his family continued his education and bagged first position in AJK SSC exam.
Both students in a private TV channel program had requested for financial support from the government so that they could continue their education.
Punjab Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, taking notice, said his provincial government would bear all the expenses of the said students.
