Friend in need: Punjab sends relief goods to KP

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday sent off 25 trucks full of relief goods for the flood-hit people of Nowshera and announced that Punjab government will support the citizens through this difficult time.
Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Marvi Memon also said that trucks carrying relief items for people of Nowshera on the instructions of Punjab chief minister are on their way and added that these trucks will hand over the relief goods to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for distribution.
Abbasi added said that PML-N workers of KP would also take part in distribution of relief items. He further said that if required, more relief items would be sent by the Punjab government.
Furthermore, PML-N leader Marvi Memon said that the trucks going to Nowshera will carry relief items including flour, sugar, cooking oil, tea, soap, match boxes, candles, gram pulse, rice, dates, tents, blankets, mattresses, ghee and other daily use items.
Senator Najma Hameed, MNA Malik Shakeel Awan and Tahira Aurangzeb, who were also present at the occasion, said that on the instructions of the CM, PML-N workers will leave no stone unturned to help their affected brethren of KP.
