Provincial Minister for Revenue Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said on Thursday that the present democratic government had initiated exemplary projects for the development and welfare of the country and leaders rejected by the masses were misleading the people.
He said that those who declared Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) a failure lived in fools’ paradise. “The effectiveness and importance of the program is not only appreciated by Pakistani media, but its importance is also admitted by the International media,” he said.
He said that through BISP thousands of needy and deserving women had been provided financial assistance – ‘a mile stone in the history of Pakistan.’ He added that the PPP with its coalition partners would participate in general elections and would emerge as victorious because it was the largest and most popular political party of Pakistan.
The provincial minister also said that Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif could not defeat PPP, even if they tried together, because they had a limited political approach.
