Taking full advantage of Eid holidays, a large number of tourists from different cities of the Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) thronged to Murree to enjoy the natural beauty, pleasant weather and to celebrate Eid holidays in style.
Most of the visitors that the town received on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr were from different areas of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa (KPK), Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and other areas of Punjab.
The tourists enjoyed the cool weather at Murree, Nathiagali, Donga Gali, Ayubia, Changla Gali and other scenic resorts after these areas received a light drizzle during the holidays. Most of the visiting families had brought their own food, while youngsters who carried their own cooking utensils were seen preparing feasts for their companions.
Some groups of youngsters had traveled to the hilly resort on their motorbikes from the lower parts of the country.
The district police had made special security arrangements at picnic points and heavy deployment was observed at important spots to maintain law and order.
The traders shared the joys of the occasion by getting good business due to a large inflow of tourists. Meanwhile, the majority of tourists had complained of overcharging by the hotel owners, transporters and shopkeepers on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
