The Sindh government has declared the drought and disease-affected district of Thar a calamity-hit area. According to Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, the chief minister officially declared the district a disaster area. He said that the decision was taken after drought and different diseases which killed hundreds of birds and animals in the district.
