Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has sent advance one year water bills to consumers and has caused great concern among citizens.
The consumers have been directed by RCB to pay the bills on an immediate basis.
The traders and political circles had denounced the bills and had asked RCB to cancel them immediately or face a strong protest from the consumers.
Moreover, areas like Chohr, Tench Bhata, Dhok Syeddan and Aadhran had remained deprived of water supply for the last several months.
In addition to this, the sewerage water usually mixes with the clean water and makes it useless for daily use.
The citizens are left with no option other than buying a water tanker worth Rs 1200, which most of the consumers of the affected areas could not afford.
