Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan has strongly condemned the targeted killings in Karachi that resulted in the killing of 12 people on Friday.
Offering condolences to the families of victims, Imran expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order in Karachi that had not been controlled even in Ramadan. Imran said the law enforcement agencies had failed to prevent violence and damage to both public and private property in Karachi, adding that constant violence in Karachi had disrupted routine economic activity. The PTI chairman asked the people of Karachi to remain calm and restore peace in the financial hub of the country.
Acts of violence would only cause further damage and was not a solution to the problem, he said.
Imran asked the law enforcement agencies to control the situation to restore normalcy to the city.
“The PTI stands for peaceful political coexistence of all political and democratic stake holders in the country and appeals to the various party workers to shun politics of violence and revenge to maintain the balance of peace and harmony in the city,” Imran said.
