Muslims across the country, and the world over, observed Jumat-ul Wida (last Friday) of the holy month of Ramazan with religious reverence and zeal. Police and security agencies ensured strict security measures at all mosques for the Friday prayers. Police and law enforcers extensively patrolled the sensitive areas to avert any untoward incident. Mosque administrations had made special arrangements to accommodate the extraordinary number of worshippers outside the mosques. Jumat-ul-Wida has a special significance since it is a prelude to the end of holy month of Ramzan. Special prayers were offered for the prosperity of and solidarity among the Muslims as well as unity of the Ummah.
