Compound of Osama Bin Laden transferred to KP govt

The land previously under usage of Osama Bin Laden has been transferred to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. A notification in this regard has also been issued.
The compound of Osama Bin Laden in Abbottabad, spread over an area of 6 kanals and 13 Marlas became the focus of world’s attention after the May 2 incident in which Al-Qaeda’s leader, Osama Bin Laden was killed through an operation by the US forces.
At first, the American marines confiscated the body of the most wanted man of the world, Osama Bin Laden, his documents and essentials and afterwards, the government of Pakistan searched the compound thoroughly.
The residence of Osama Bin Laden was flattened after the search.
In the mid of July, government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued an advertisement according to which the claimants of the land were to report to the office of DRO within 15 days, failing which the ownership of land will be shifted to the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The land between Thanda Chwa and Bilal town was owned by Muhammad Arshad. It was alleged that he got killed in the May 2 operation.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has seized the land but has not decided as yet how the confiscated land will be used, that is whether it should be allocated for a school, a play ground, a government office or else.
