Despite passage of 24 years, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to develop Sector E-12 in the capital.
The allotees, talking to INP, complained that due to the slackness of the civic body, the sector could not be developed while a large number of allotees had passed away during the course of waiting for the development work.
They said the CDA had opened Sector E-12 some 24 years back, but failed to acquire the land and initiate uplift work.
It should be mentioned here that former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, during the inauguration ceremony of Sector D-12, had directed the CDA to initiate development work at the earliest, but nothing has happened practically.
The situation has caused unrest among the allottees as cash-starved CDA could not complete the uplift work.
