A 14-member commission was formed for the creation of new provinces in Punjab on Thursday.
The National Assembly Speaker Fahmida Mirza constituted the commission in pursuance of President Asif Ali Zardari’s direction.
According to a press release issued by the NA Secretariat, the commission comprises Senators Farahatullah Babar‚ Syeda Sughra Imam‚ Haji Mohammad Adeel‚ Kamil Ali Agha‚ Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana‚ Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and MNAs Arif Aziz Sheikh‚ Jamshed Ahmad Dasti‚ Syed Ali Musa Gilani‚ Mrs Tahmina Daultana‚ Ch Saud Majeed and Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar.
Two members of the Punjab Assembly would also be included in the commission.
